Bomb blasts in southern provinces brought under control

 

Officials in the southern region have assured they have the situation under control after a series of bomb blasts took place over the weekend.

The Internal Security Operation Command (ISOC) Region 4 said that as a result of the bomb blasts in many parts of Pattani and Narathiwat on the weekend, provincial authorities and police officers have implemented strict controls. They will also urgently help people who were affected by the violence.

At the same time, the Provincial Electricity Authority has let on it has already fixed the electricity supply in the region, returning it to normal after it was severed by the insurgent activity.

Authorities have asked people not to be alarmed and not to fall into believing rumors that come from unsubstantiated sources, reassuring people they should continue their daily activities as usual.

As a result of the latest bomb blasts, 62 people were wounded and 3 deaths were recorded in Pattani
