Suvarnabhumi Youth Camp 2013 to promote sufficiency economy

 

Suvarnabhumi (สุวรรณภูมิ) Airport has organized the Suvarnabhumi Youth Camp 2013 for students from schools nearby the airport with the aim to educate the students on sufficiency economy and the ecosystem.

According to Suvarnabhumi Airport Director Raweewan Netarakawessana, (ระวีวรรณ เนตรคะเวสนะ) the camp will be held at Thammasart (ธรรมศาสตร์) University’s Chonburi (ชลบุรี) campus where 130 elementary students from 17 schools in the vicinity of the airport will be participating.

A number of guest speakers will be invited to join the two-day camp, which will be held from June 27 to 28, for lessons on the principles of sufficiency economy, global warming, and general knowledge of the Thai aviation industry.

The camp will emphasise on environmental preservation and education on the traditional Thai ways of life, while activities featured in the camp are aimed to raise awareness of the importance of the sufficiency economy philosophy, as well as the importance of the country’s forest area.
