PM meets and greets NZ cultural exchange students

Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra today hosted a welcome meeting for a team of New Zealand exchange students and members of the Thai – New Zealand cultural exchange program that have volunteered to promote the use of English language among Thais.

The group was led by Thai Ambassador to Wellington Noppadon Theppitak (นพดล เทพพิทักษ์).

Prime Minister Yingluck expressed support for the program as it is in line with government policy in the preparation of the arrival of the ASEAN Economic Community in 2013. The Premier thanked all participating students and their Thai host families for their enthusiasm in carrying out the project.

Ms Yingluck also gave useful living tips and shared her personal experience with the visiting students in several topics, including Thai food, Thai people and popular travel destinations in the country.
